This 30 minute presentation (in Spanish with English subtitles) explores aspects of the planning and development of fog collection projects that use fog as an alternative source of water supply for communities in dry and climate-vulnerable regions1. A summary on selected experiences in Latin America is discussed including research results(2) from fog measurements using Standard Fog Collectors (SFC), fog water quality, role of community involvement, and technology implementation and transfer. In the final comments, the lecturer talks about future perspectives and potential applications of this technology in food security and public health interventions, as well as the social reintegration of people who have been displaced from their homes in Colombia.
